Christmas for Refugees Participates in Values Voter Summit 2015

On September 24th-26th, 2015, the Religious Freedom Coalition  participated in the Values Voter Summit (VVS) in Washington, DC.  The Values Voter Summit hosted numerous presidential candidates, such as Mike Huckabee, Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, Ben Carson, and many other nationally well-known social conservative leaders.  Attended by thousands of social conservatives, this event allowed the Religious Freedom Coalition to promote the Christmas for Refugees program.

Hundreds of those attending visited the Christmas for Refugee exhibit and were educated on how the Religious Freedom Coalition not only advocates for the rights of Christians in the Middle East, but also attends to their spiritual and physical needs.  In the following video, our Chairman, William J. Murray explains how the Christmas for Refugees Program has succeeded in the past in Lebanon and Jordan and how it will expand to Iraq in 2015:

Every year the Religious Freedom Coalition participates in the Values Voter Summit to educate the thousands of attendees about the various programs that we offer.  The Values Voter Summit gives us another opportunity to provide the public with information on the extent of the persecution of Christians in the Middle East, to suggest solutions of aid, and explain our lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill.

This year, we were excited to announce that we are expanding our Christmas program to Iraq and have doubled the overall number of children to be served by the program!  Our expansion to Iraq means that we will now be serving Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who have been driven from their homes on the Nineveh Plain.  The brutal attack on the roots of Christianity propels us forward in our efforts to protect our brothers and sisters in Christ in the Middle East.  We wish to help as many Christian refugees as we can – but we need your help.  Your generous donations help afflicted Christians receive medical aid, food, and Christmas joy.  Click here to donate to the Christmas for Refugee program today.
