Christmas for Refugees’ Virtual Server Company Hit By Multiple Attacks

Over the past ten days, Christmas for Refugees has received emails from subscribers who are concerned about the website being down.  For those of you who have contacted us, we wanted to thank you and give you an update on what is going on.

The Christmas for Refugees’ website is supported by a virtual server company called Linode.  Beginning on Christmas day, Linode’s servers received numerous attacks leaving multiple U.S. and UK customers without working websites.  The problem appeared to have been resolved; however, Linode released another update today stating that “the denial of service attacks against our DNS infrastructure have resumed at this time.”  Please bear with us as Linode works to resolve the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience.
