Thousands of Christians children who have been displaced by the Islamic State and other Islamic terrorist groups were able to celebrate a real Christmas in 2015. Details of the program and great videos of the kids are now at YouTube!
These are a few of the many photos from various Christmas events held in 2015 in Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq for refugee and displaced children. In all nearly 4,000 children and their families were server by the Christmas for Refugee program
The Christmas for Refugees’ website is supported by a virtual server company called Linode. Beginning on Christmas day, Linode’s servers received numerous attacks leaving multiple U.S. and UK customers without working websites.
More that 600 children attend Christmas for Refugee events in the Kurdish area of northern Iraq. The Gospel is clearly defined at the same time children are entertained and fed. Sadly only 300 of over 2,000 children in one displaced persons center were able to attend because of a lack of space.
American team monitors Christmas events in Jordan: The Christmas for Refugees program has greatly expanded in 2015 with events in Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq. So far the American Christmas for Refugees team has monitored and participated in events in Lebanon and Jordan. The events in Iraq take place just a few days before Christmas.
The American team monitoring the Christmas for Refugee program visited Lebanon first and observed two of the events for children. The Gospel, games and food were central to the each event along with gifts for the kids. A $60 food voucher also was given to each child’s family
The smiles of the faces of the children say it all: The first Christmas for Refugees event of 2015 was a hit! The first event was held in church in Mount Lebanon Governorate north of Beirut. Each of the Christmas events will be attended by 50 to 150 refugee children. A total of 60 children participated in the first.
The first Christmas event in Lebanon is scheduled for December 13th. The dinner events for the children in Lebanon are scattered all over the country because the refugees are scattered. There are no United Nations refugee camps in Lebanon despite the fact that over 1.2 million Syrians alone are refugees there
The Christmas program for the children is about the hope we all find in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the aid provided to the families is both material and spiritual. Families without Bibles receive one, and children receive workbooks based on Bible themes
